Peter Arciniega Jr. is a man whose life story reflects the power of faith, service, and the transformative influence of God's love. Born in Robstown, Texas, Pete’s journey in faith began at the age of 10 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. From that humble beginning, Pete has lived a life that exemplifies how the Lord uses even the most unlikely servants to accomplish extraordinary things for His glory.
Affectionately known as “Pastor Pete” and “Coach Pete,” Peter Arciniega Jr. has made an indelible impact in his community as a pastor, boxing coach, musician, and former Marine. His multifaceted ministry has touched countless lives, helping individuals grow spiritually and find purpose through faith and service.
Founding Arciniega Boxing Outreach
In 2004, Pete answered God’s call to use boxing as a tool for ministry, establishing Arciniega Boxing Outreach in Lockhart, Texas. Over the past 16 years, the gym has become a beacon of hope for local youth, where many young men and women have found not only physical discipline but also spiritual renewal. Through this outreach, Pete has created an environment where faith and fitness intersect, guiding young people to Christ while fostering a sense of purpose and self-respect.
Establishing Calvary Chapel Lockhart
In 2017, Pete felt called to further expand his ministry and establish a church in Lockhart. In response to this divine calling, Calvary Chapel Lockhart was founded, a place where people come together to worship, grow in their faith, and serve the community. As Senior Pastor, Pete leads with humility and devotion, always prioritizing the Word of God and the needs of his congregation.
A Passion for Music and Ministry
Not only does Pete serve as a pastor and coach, but he is also a gifted singer and songwriter. In March of 2019, Pete and his best friend Michael launched Double Iron Music, a Christian music recording and publishing company. Inspired by Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another," the company’s mission is to lead people to Christ through the power of praise and worship.
Pete’s music ministry is deeply rooted in scripture, with each song designed to uplift, encourage, and point listeners toward Jesus. His first single, “Rise Up”, released in April of 2019, has resonated with audiences and paved the way for a growing catalog of inspiring music. “Call On Jesus”, another impactful song released in 2020, has since been remastered as a "radio mix," and continues to touch hearts worldwide.
In 2019, Pete also released his first EP, “Faithful Servant”, which won Album of the Year at the 2024 WVIU Radio Awards. The EP showcases his deep devotion to God and his musical talent. More recently, Pete has released several singles, including “Shine Your Light on Me” and “Born Again (It’s All Because of You)”, both of which have garnered attention and praise for their soulful sound and powerful messages. His latest single, “Let’s Turn to Christ”, released in January 2025, is already making waves and inspiring many to deepen their relationship with Christ.
A Family Man and Community Leader
Today, Pete resides in Lockhart, Texas, with his wife, Sarah, and continues to lead both Calvary Chapel Lockhart and Arciniega Boxing Outreach with unwavering faith and commitment. His life’s work is a testament to the idea that when we give our lives to God, He can use us in powerful ways to make an eternal impact in the lives of others.
