Oceans, Mountains, and a Message: The Relentless Journey of Chayne Lawson

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chayne Lawson’s life is defined by movement, across oceans, mountains, coastlines, and seasons of work that demanded resilience, adaptability, and grit. His story is not a straight line, but a journey shaped by faith, labor, education, and creativity, with each chapter building upon the last. What makes his path compelling is not only where he has been, but how intentionally he has learned from every place he has stood.

Born and raised in Temple, Texas, where he currently resides, Chayne’s early foundation was built through education and creative curiosity. He attended Temple College, earning an associate degree in General Studies, before continuing on to Texas State University, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Electronic Media. During his time at Texas State, Chayne also served as a guitarist on a worship team, blending faith, music, and community in a formative season of his life.

Following college, Chayne’s journey moved west. One of his earliest professional roles was as a Production Assistant at KRCR News Channel 7 in Redding, California, where he worked in audio operation, floor coordination, and graphics. This experience grounded him in live production environments and reinforced the discipline required behind the scenes of media and broadcast work.

From there, he stepped into property management in Redding, California, gaining hands-on experience in operations, maintenance, and responsibility, skills that would later reappear throughout his career in different forms.

In the summer of 2016, Chayne entered one of the most physically demanding chapters of his life when he worked as a commercial fishing deckhand in Whittier, Alaska, gill-netting and handling salmon. The work required endurance, precision, and teamwork under harsh conditions. The following year, in 2017, he worked as a dockhand at Yellowstone National Park, managing boats and guest operations during peak season, trading icy waters for long days and wide-open landscapes.

By 2018, Chayne returned to Alaska again, this time working as a longline deckhand in the Bering Sea, one of the most unforgiving environments in commercial fishing. That season further refined his work ethic and resilience, reinforcing lessons that cannot be taught in classrooms, only learned through experience.

In early 2019, Chayne shifted environments once again, moving inland to Big Sky, Montana, where he worked as a ski lift operator. There, he maintained lift operations, assisted guests, and learned to snowboard, adding yet another skill to his growing list. Shortly after, in April–May 2019, he trained and worked briefly as a zip line guide at Royal Gorge in Colorado, assisting guests and delivering safety and equipment instruction in a high-responsibility role.

Later that same year, from June through August 2019, Chayne worked as a dockhand at Jones Valley Resort in Redding, California, where his responsibilities included boat detailing, fueling, pump-outs, water service, trash management, and general dock operations. This role completed a stretch of years where his work consistently placed him outdoors, hands-on, and accountable.

After this season of movement, Chayne attended the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California, completing both first- and second-year programs. His time at Bethel deepened his spiritual foundation and shaped how he approached calling, obedience, and service, adding spiritual clarity to the discipline already forged through labor.

When COVID hit, Chayne returned to Texas and made a defining decision to plant roots. He purchased property and taught himself small engine mechanics, relying on hands-on experience, guidance from his uncle and others, and extensive self-education through research and practice. What began as necessity grew into a viable skillset. Today, he works primarily in resale, small engine repair, and construction, building a livelihood through persistence and craftsmanship.

In the last six months, Chayne has also traveled regularly for tile work on base at Fort Riley, Kansas, continuing his pattern of following opportunity wherever it leads. Alongside this, he has explored opportunities in entertainment, taking on background and stunt acting roles, including serving as a stand-in for Cooper Norris on the television series Landman.

Throughout all of this, music has remained a steady thread. Chayne’s songwriting reflects a life lived across terrain and seasons, honest, faith-centered, and shaped by lived experience rather than trend. His releases on SoundCloud, YouTube, and distributed platforms explore themes of surrender, action, and the call of Christ. Songs like “I’m Letting Go,” “Love Is an Action,” and “Great Commission of Christ” speak plainly, carrying the weight of someone who has worked hard, traveled far, and listened closely.

Chayne maintains an active presence on SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram (@chaynelawson), Twitter (@chaynelawson), and Facebook, where listeners can follow his music and ongoing journey. His work continues to grow steadily, shaped by consistency rather than hype.

Chayne Lawson’s story is one of endurance and openness, a life built not by shortcuts, but by experience. From fishing boats in Alaska to ski lifts in Montana, zip lines in Colorado, docks in California, and construction work in Texas and Kansas, every chapter has contributed to the message he carries today.

His journey proves that calling is often revealed not in stillness, but in motion. Oceans crossed, mountains climbed, and lessons learned along the way have shaped a life that continues to move forward, grounded, capable, and ready for whatever comes next.
