Matthew Jones Releases “Testify,” a Joy-Filled Declaration of Faith Arriving February 6, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Matthew Jones continues his upward trajectory in Christian music with the release of his new worship-pop single “Testify,” arriving February 6, 2026. The song marks another defining moment for the New England–based artist, whose career has steadily grown through authenticity, musical excellence, and a clear devotion to sharing hope through song.

“Testify” emerges from Matthew’s life as both a worship leader and recording artist, capturing the natural response that comes when gratitude overflows. Written alongside Jonathan Jackson and Aaron Crane, the track serves as a cornerstone for his upcoming worship EP with Nashville-based label A Thousand Hills Music. Rather than simply reflecting on faith, the song encourages believers to speak openly about the ways God has shown up in their lives.

From my perspective, “Testify” feels like a confident step forward for Matthew Jones, one that builds on years of growth rather than rushing toward novelty. The song radiates joy without feeling forced, offering listeners a reason to celebrate while remaining grounded in sincerity. It is worship that feels lived-in, shaped by experience rather than abstraction.

Musically, “Testify” blends worship and pop-soul influences with modern production elements, layered vocals, and an energetic arrangement that invites participation. Inspired by Scripture’s call to praise openly, the track carries momentum that feels both communal and personal. It’s the kind of song that fits equally well in a worship setting or a personal playlist.

The production team behind “Testify” reflects Matthew’s continued alignment with respected creatives in the Christian music space. The single was produced by Jonathan Jackson and co-produced by Chris Hoisington, with recording sessions split between New York and Nashville. Mixing and mastering were handled in Nashville by Gabe Klein, resulting in a sound that is polished, vibrant, and emotionally engaging. Adding a deeply personal element, Matthew’s son Gabe Jones appears on drums, reinforcing the generational heart behind the song.

A music video will accompany the release, directed by Almarin Fisher and filmed across multiple locations in New England. Rather than leaning into heavy concepts or effects, the visual approach centers on authenticity, capturing moments of rehearsal and connection with members of Matthew’s touring band. The video is expected to complement the song’s message with simplicity and warmth. (The official YouTube link will be shared upon release.)

Matthew Jones’ journey to this moment has been years in the making. For nearly a decade, he has shared music across stages nationwide,  first as the frontman of an alternative rock band and, over the last several years, as a solo artist rooted more deeply in worship and gospel expression. His evolution has included national touring, festival main stages, and opening slots for artists such as Unspoken, Matt Maher, John Tibbs, and Dave Pettigrew, along with appearances at major events including SoulFest and Connect Festival.

In 2024, Matthew released his full-length solo album Reinterpreting, followed by continued national touring and growing radio presence. That same year, he was honored as Christian Male Pop Artist of the Year at the WVIU Radio Music Awards, a milestone that affirmed both his musical impact and connection with listeners. WVIU Radio has continued to support his work, helping introduce his music to broader audiences and strengthening his presence within the CCM and worship communities.

His career has also included national radio airplay, collaborations with award-winning producers, and recognition across Christian media outlets. Yet even with these accomplishments, Matthew’s focus has remained steady: creating music that points people toward hope, freedom, and trust in God.

“Testify” builds on that foundation, signaling what listeners can expect from his upcoming worship EP,  songs that balance accessibility with depth, celebration with reflection, and artistry with spiritual intention. It reflects an artist who has weathered both momentum and uncertainty, emerging with clarity and renewed purpose.

As February 6, 2026 approaches, “Testify” stands poised to resonate with listeners seeking music that lifts the spirit while remaining rooted in truth. It is a reminder that gratitude is meant to be shared,  and that stories of God’s faithfulness deserve to be spoken aloud.
