After successfully completing high school, Same Ol G embarked on his educational journey at Florida A&M University. However, unforeseen circumstances led him to an unexpected path. During his sophomore year, Same Ol G left FAMU and devoted seven years to serving in the US Army. Following his military service, life took a turn as he found himself entangled in the complexities of street life, facing repeated struggles and challenges. It was during this period that Same Ol G discovered his innate gift and passion for rapping, albeit amidst a life filled with sin.

In a pivotal moment in August 2013, Same Ol G experienced a life-changing encounter with Christ. Moved by this spiritual awakening, he made the courageous decision to relinquish his former life of rap and sin to live for God. The calling to preach came in January 2014, a divine directive that prompted Same Ol G to resume his rap journey, this time with a higher purpose—to reach the lost generation with a message of faith.

Officially ordained as an elder in COGIC in August 2016, Same Ol G's commitment to his faith deepened. He also assumed the role of interim state youth president for the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Florida Northwest COGIC. In 2018, he released his debut album, "Servant Of God," a testament to his devotion to spreading the Gospel through music. The album was remastered and re-released in 2023, reflecting the artist's evolving journey.

As the CEO and owner of G Muzik Ministries, Inc, a non-profit organization, he dedicates himself to serving Gadsden County and its environs through mentoring, ministry, and music.
